PRESIDENTS
I have been working on this series of U.S. Presidents for several years now. The idea behind this work was borne of my interest in the current political climate, the modern concept of war and the desire to understand the “Imperial Presidency.” I seek to provoke the viewer by asking questions and offering perspectives, rather then using direct satire(most of the time). The pieces below represent works that I have made over the last several years, all in different media and often time one-of-a kind (non-editioned) works. Recently, I have decided to take all of these images and rework them as 24″ x 30″ lino cuts. Currently these blocks are being drawn, cut and printed…process shots are provided below.
